Beautiful bezel set princess cut diamond bypass ring – Portfolio

This custom made ring is our 'Ring of the Week' this week. This contemporary ring was created using the clients existing diamond from her original engagement ring, alongside a loose diamond that the couple had purchased. This was a somewhat difficult design brief as the diamonds were different sizes, our client only had a size G finger which is smaller than the average and it also needed to house a wedding band. As we were limited with ring size, we decided to create a bold and beautiful bypass ring. The bezel set stones give this piece a modern, stylish feel as there is a distinct amount of metal presence but this is softened by the princess cut stones in the arms. We removed the smaller diamond out of the old engagement ring and set it on the narrower arm which also allowed us to set a garnet in the engagement ring shank. This has then been cleaned and polished so it can be passed onto the couples daughter, with the garnet representing the daughters birthstone, creating enormous sentimental value.The smaller stone has a slight under cut section which allows for the wedding band to sit snug underneath, enabling the larger diamonds to be showcased upon the top of the band.
